Description
Regional Centers work under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services. There are 21 regional centers in California. They work in partnership with many individuals and other agencies to plan and coordinate services and support for people with developmental disabilities and their families. General services include: Information and Referral, Assessment and Diagnosis, Advocacy Services, Early Intervention and Prevention, Support Groups, Genetic Services, Training and Education Opportunities, Therapy Services - Physical, Speech and Occupational, Nursing Services, Social/Recreational Programs, Vocational Training, and Medical and Dental Care.
Assistive Technology Services: Evaluation & Selection, Funding & Purchase, Education/Training
Services include assistive technology assessments and evaluations. Provides funding for assistive technology for eligible clients
