Description
Protection & Advocacy, Inc. is a nonprofit agency that works in partnership with people with disabilites to protect, advocate for and advance their human, legal, and service rights. Services include: legal representation, policy advocacy, information and referral services on legal, civil, and service rights, technical support and training on advocacy, and outreach. PAI also provides patient and client advocacy through the Office of Patients Rights (800)-254-5166, the Office of Clients Rights Advocacy (800) 390-7032, and a toll-free legal line (800)776-5746. PAI also provides extensive information on accessing assistive technology, including two information guides: Accessing Assistive Technology and Special Education:Rights and Responsibilities, online publications on access and advocacy, and representation.
