Description
Founded in 1915, the Hearing Society for the Bay Area provides services for hard of hearing, deafened and culturally Deaf persons of all ages. The Hearing Society also provides educational programs and outreach to the general public. Current programs include counseling; information and guidance; education and support for hard of hearing or deaf children, youth, seniors, and their families; demonstration of assistive technology; and collaborative programs with schools, senior centers, and community agencies.
