Description
Founded and run by people with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities, the Disability Rights Education and Defence Fund (DREDF) is a national law and policy center whose goal is to advance disability civil rights. DREDF develops and advocates for legislation and policy reform, represents clients in disability discrimination cases, provides information and referral services to peole with disabilities concerning their legal rights, advocates for educational rights of children and students with disabilites, and conducts training workshops for parents of children with disabilities. DREDF is a parent training and information center (PTI) for Alameda, Contra Costa, and Yolo Coutnies in Northern California.
