Description
The California School for the Deaf serves more than 500 deaf children from birth through high school who reside in Northern California. The school offers an environment which fosters full communication access using ASL and English. CSD offers comprehensive educational programs in a positive and accessible learning environment which acknowledges deaf students and adults as culturally and linguistically distinct.
CSD provides information on deaf issues, sponsors parent workshops and other deaf related workshops. The Outreach department also provides information on upcoming CSD events, deaf community events, teleconferences, workshops on latest trends in deaf education, and training on working with deaf students.
