The Alliance for Technology Access and the Center for Accessible Technology are proud to present this handbook as a result of the Accessibility Connections Project funded by The California Endowment. The organizations presented in this handbook include services which focus on accessibility for people with disabilities and assistive technology which can improve their quality of life.
The Accessibility Connections Project is working to build the capacity in community organizations of the Bay Area. The project provides ways to share information about accessible technology and to create a network of technology resources, especially for under-served populations. This handbook will also be available on-line at the ATA web site: www.ATAccess.org.
We look forward to the day when services to people with disabilities and functional limitations are less fragmented than they have been in the past. We hope that you find this handbook useful for locating information about Bay Area resources for accessibility and assistive technology.
